Course Description

Aaah, so you think you’re pretty wicked on the old scratch ey? Well think again. This course is taught only by the best champions our country has to offer, as well as touring international title holders. Focusing on all advanced scratching and beat juggling technics as well as visual presence and stage performance, the course is geared up to transform you into an air tight, tear it up, do all-performance DJ.

Ideal for DJ’s looking to get into the competition circuit, DJ’s who want to turn their club sets into showcase performances, band or group DJ’s that want to bring something special to the group or for DJ’s that just don’t wanna be messed with!

Note: Pre requisite for this course is the completion of the Fastrack Scratch Course, or be able to demonstrate intermediate level scratch and mixing abilities.

Beat Juggling-loops, scratches and progressions
Beat Juggling-Double Ups, Chopping and Progressions
Beat Juggling-Alternating cue points and Progressions
Beat Juggling – tempo switching chasing patterns
Planning progressive beat juggles
Planning and constructing trick sets and show case performances

2 instructors per class
Limit of 6 students per class
Each student has their own DJ workstation through out the entire course
Each student has their own Mac laptop and Serato Scratch Live system for the entire course
Complete hands-on learning through out the entire course
Personal one on one instructing for each course module
Group Scratch Sessions
Free access to practice studios for entire duration of enrolment
Entry to friendly battle nights and special seminars
Weekday evening classes
8 hrs total contact time

Attendance

This is a 4 week course.
Students are required to attend one night a week for 4 consecutive weeks.
Classes will start at 6pm sharp and will end at approximately 8pm.
Once placed into a group you will be given a designated night of the week to attend the class.
You will attend the class on the same designated weekday for all 4 weeks of the course.

Also check out our Holiday courses which coincide with the standard school holiday breaks. During our Holiday Courses the same material is covered, however the classes operate during the day as opposed to the regular evenings.
